OUR 5 FAVORITE
‘MUST-HAVES’ FOR FALL 2018
1. Chunky Sweaters
I love chunky sweaters in all colors!
This fall it’s fun to wear
these cozy longer length sweaters with jeans,
(faded denim, or leather cropped bootleg
is showing up everywhere this season),
pencil skirts, (in leather or sequins,)
or pair with festive velvet or sequin pants.
I also love my long full sweaters
over flowing long skirts and dresses.
If you’ve got great legs show them off with tights,
boots, (ankle or over-the -knee…and a long full sweater!)
2. PENCIL SKIRTS
I love this seasons sequin or leather midis,
especially with long soft cozy sweaters…
wear them with ankle boots, knee high boots,
or your favorite heels to get that long lean look!
3. BOOTS
What would fall/winter be without our favorite Boots!
Styln this season are
White, Western, Slouchy, and fun Ankle styles.
(White boots are a great transition piece for fall,…
and yes you can wear them with black, floral dresses, and all denim)
3. Cropped Boot Cut Jeans
Cropped Boot Cut jeans are a fun change from your skinnies…
I like them with boots, platforms, dressy ankle strap heels,
cut-out booties, or fun new sneakers.
Just make sure you show a little leg to create a long legged look!
4. Leather
Real, or Faux…Leather coats, jackets, jeans, skirts,
or dresses add an updated touch of style this season.
Though you can wear it top to bottom,
my favorite is to let just one piece,
a leather skirt, jeans, or jacket, make a classy statement.
5. Menswear Inspired Blazers
I’ve always loved Menswear Inspired Blazers…
I feel the cut that hits right at or below the booty is always
more flattering, creating a long lean line
rather than those that hit right below the waist.
Just make sure they aren’t too oversized!
These jackets look great with jeans, skirts,
the new flowing dresses, or matching pants.
And don’t forget to add a little animal print this season…
it’s become the new neutral!
Just make sure not to overdo it!

SUMMER 2018
1. COLOR
Pastel, or Bold…you must add some color to your Spring/Summer wardrobe.
I like to add one or two pieces,…like a blazer, shoes or handbag, then keep the rest neutral,
or add some color to your pants or dress,…but keep everything else neutral.
And remember neutral now is white, gray, or black…
When it comes to pastels…a complete monotone look is very flattering!
2. STATEMENT TOPS
3. EMBELLISHED HEMLINES PANTS AND JEANS

4. BARE SHOULDERS
5. STRIPES

11 FASHION TIPS TO FLATTER ANY BODY TYPE
Whether you’re curvy, boyish, petite, or full-figured,…
these tricks will help you look your best both at the office and when stepping out for the evening.
By Harper’s Bazaar Staff
Curvy:
All Eyes on the Waist Feminine clothes that enhance the hourglass are always flattering.
Work the middle. Your waist should always be well defined. A cinched-in middle never fails to flatter; it highlights your womanly figure. Wear a belt or choose pieces with details like beading or ruching at the waist.
Select solid shades and color-blocking. A tonal look proves to be a winning choice. Black is always flattering, but that doesn’t mean color should be avoided. Add bits of brights in the right places, mix and match solid, and avoid eye-popping patterns. Simple shades like neutral brown, black, and navy look best.
Show (a Little) Skin at Night Be tactical about where it is revealed. A slit on the side of a gown can be sexy and slimming, while showing lots of leg offers a long, lean look. Highlighting your décolletage also looks sultry without being too provocative.
Fuller Figured:
Try Draping – Consider simplicity, subtle sexiness, and a little structure.
Tailored Looks for Daytime
Choose close-to-the-body cuts. Caftans and sack or boxy shapes will only add pounds. Look for tailored pieces like fitted button-ups, straight skirts and trousers, and wrap dresses that skim the body and give the waist definition.
Keep it streamlined. Your clothes should be sleek — frill free and not overly adorned. Think flat-front skirts and pants, as heavy pleats and too much volume look extra-bulky. Pick tops that are relatively simple, without layers of ruffles and embellishment.
Solid Colors for Evening
Boyish:
Trick the Eye with Details
Add Feminine Flourishes
Play Up the Prints–
Don’t shy away from bold and intricate patterns. Florals, stripes, and graphics will give depth and character to a silhouette, but remember to keep it in check. Choose refined motifs in classic colors to keep from going overboard.
PETITE:
Select Solids for Daytime
Keep your look sleek and chic, and avoid very busy prints. You don’t want to get lost in a loud pattern. Mixing solids works, and subltle details can add personality, but stay away from things, like overly ornate embellishment that will detract from your figure.
Try Textures at Night
Plush fabrics like brocade, blevet, silk, lace and chiffon can add character and fullness in the right places and combining different fabrics will increase the richness of your look. Shun lots of layers however, because your petite figure will look too loaded down. When in doubt at three-inch heels!

BLAZER BUYING TIPS…
If You’re Curvy
If You Have a Boyish Frame
If You Have Narrow Shoulders
If You Have a Small Bust
If You’re Short
LOOK FOR… Shorter, clean, cropped and/or fitted styles.
AVOID… Long jackets, double-breasted styles and excessive details.
DON’T FORGET… • Cropped jackets emphasize your waist. • Always choose single-breasted styles. • Opt for one- or two-button closures.
• Look for jackets with narrow lapels that end above your natural waist.
WHITE
COOL WEATHER TIP…
PAIR WHITE WITH GREY FOR A GREAT FALL LOOK!
more…HOW TO RIGHT IN WHITE
LOOK FOR A GOOD FIT
White jeans can be a little less forgiving than other shades of denim,
so it’s really important that you find a pair of jeans that fit and flatter.
Make sure the jeans aren’t too tight, too loose or too see-through.
For this reason, make sure you’re wearing nude-colored undergarments when shopping for white jeans
so you’ll have the best idea of how much coverage they give.
You’ll want to pay special attention to your backside and to make sure the thigh area doesn’t bunch and crinkle.
If you’re having a hard time finding your perfect jean size, experiment by trying on a few pairs.
Sometimes, it can be hard to find a pair of white jeans that aren’t transparent and fit just right,
but there are many options out there to try.
If You Have a Straight Figure
What to look for: A trim fit to play up any curves you do have.
Bold embellishment on the back pockets, like contrast stitching, studs, or a flap, make a flat bum look perkier.
What to avoid: Exaggerated bells and flares that look unbalanced on a ruler-straight frame.
What to pair them with: “A blouse with ruching or draping to add more volume
and shapeliness up top,” says Sarah Hodge, a fit expert withMytruefit.com, an online fit predictor and store.
If You Have an Hourglass Figure
What to look for: A contoured waistband, which is nipped in at the waist instead of cut straight across.
“This allows the jeans to fit the hips without gaping at the waist,” says Janine Chilton-Faust,
vice president of women’s design for Levi’s. (One pair to try is J. Crew’s Matchstick jeans, $115, jcrew.
These not-too-skinny straight-leg jeans help balance a curvy figure.)
What to avoid: A straight-cut waistband, which will be too loose around the middle.
Wide-leg styles will make this body look boyish.
What to pair them with: Curve-hugging tops to show off the feminine proportions of this figure.
If You Have a Tummy
What to look for: “A slightly higher rise—eight inches or more—
to reduce the chance of muffin top,” says Rosella Giuliani,
vice president of design and merchandising for 7 for All Mankind.
What to avoid: Anything without stretch that will dig into your stomach
and make sitting and bending uncomfortable.
What to pair them with: “A lightweight Empire-waist top
that is loose enough to skim the body yet not
so billowy that it emphasizes the tummy,” says Giuliani.
Even though white denim is now accepted as
part of your yearly wardrobe …
What would summer be without your favorite
WHITE JEANS???
With soooo many different
styles from which to choose,…
Here’s our guide to finding that Perfect Fit!
CURVY
purchase here ↓ SEARCH WHITE DENIM
- Rule #1! Embrace your curves and look for styles that flatter them.
- Styles with a stretch fabric will help to contour your hips, thighs, and butt. Avoid jeans that fit too tight at the waist or styles that cut you off tightly at the ankles. This will add volume to your thighs and hips. Instead look for styles that have extra room in the hips and thighs. And pay attention to how the jeans fit your waist. They shouldn’t be a gap between the waist and lower back. The waist should be fitted but should not pinch or be too tight.
- “Gals with a curvy figure should opt for boot cut or flared styles so that the flared bottom balances the mid-section,” says Paige Adams-Geller of Paige Denim.
- There are lots of options if you are petite thanks to one of the biggest denim trends for spring, the “skinny cropped” cut. This style would fit like a cropped jean on a taller figure, but is full length and a great fit on a petite frame.
- If you are looking for a different style, here are some other things to keep in mind: Choose jeans with a 29 or 30 inch inseam. This will prevent a trip to the tailor. If you are petite and curvy, avoid skinny styles that cut you off at the ankle, making you appear shorter and heavier. If you are petite and slim avoid baggy styles that will drown you and make you appear heavier. If you choose a style that is baggier make sure you add a pair of high heels.
- “There is much more to a perfectly fitting petite jean than just a shorter inseam,” says Rosella Giuliani,VP of Merchandising & Design at 7 For All Mankind. “We specifically design all our petite “Lexie” jeans to flatter and enhance a petite woman’s figure. Some feature a lower rise and pitch, along with a shorter inseam, while the traditional wide leg elongates and extends the legs. White thread and stonewashed silver hardware keep this wash looking polished.”

- Tall women can rest easy that there are jeans out there to fit their proportions and flatter long legs.
- Look for 34 inch or longer inseam, but also pay attention to fit. If you are tall and slim, opt for jeans that hug your legs and thighs and avoid excess fabric that will sag, especially around the butt.
- “Taller women should make sure to get jeans at the right length, there is truly nothing worse than a jean that is too short,” says Adams-Geller. “Many companies now offer tall jeans with a longer inseam.”
- If you are tall and curvy look for styles that balance out your proportion, a boot-cut or flare will help create an even long lean look. Trouser jeans are also highly recommended for taller women.
- Plus-size women should always remember to stick with clean white fabrics that are not see through. Choose fabrics that provide support and hold you in, so that your curves will be contoured and any imperfections will be covered.
- NOT YOUR DAUGHTER’S JEANS and Miraclebody are companies that have developed special fabrics and technologies to provide extra support around the usual problem areas (i.e. hips, tummy and thighs).
- Old Navy is another brand that designs with a plus-sized girl in mind. “The fit through hip and thigh is nice and snug, with a flare bottom opening to help balance her overall figure,” says Marita Aikonen, Director of Design. “Also, the details in the front are very clean, so no bulk is added. Add a nice heel and the silhouette becomes longer and leaner.”

If You Have Full Hips and Thighs
What to look for: A pair with a higher rise in the back than in the front and a contoured waistband that will accommodate your curves. “This prevents the jeans from sliding down and overexposing you,” says Hodge.
What to avoid: Very tapered legs that magnify wider hips.
What to pair them with: “A long top with a shirttail hem to help minimize the thighs,” says Chilton-Faust.
- If You Have an Hourglass Figure
- What to look for: A contoured waistband, which is nipped in at the waist instead of cut straight across. “This allows the jeans to fit the hips without gaping at the waist,” says Janine Chilton-Faust, vice president of women’s design for Levi’s. (One pair to try is J. Crew’s Matchstick jeans, $98, jcrew. These not-too-skinny straight-leg jeans help balance a curvy figure.)
- What to avoid: A straight-cut waistband, which will be too loose around the middle. Wide-leg styles will make this body look boyish.
What to pair them with: Curve-hugging tops to show off the feminine proportions of this figure.
“Always make sure the fabric is not too thin, as thinner white denim may show imperfections you don’t want seen,” says ANLO jeans designer Jenna Andreola about her overall shopping strategy. “A heavier denim will hold you in better and hide body flaws.””Also, undergarments are super important when wearing white denim. You should never wear white underwear under white denim, a nude shade works best to conceal your undergarments.”
How to Keep Your Pair of Jeans Pristine
1. Before the first wear, spray all over with Scotchgard to ward off stains.
2. Be careful about pairing your jeans with a dark indigo jacket or a bright canvas handbag. Dyes may rub off on the white denim.
3. Wear just once or twice between washings. Overwearing without laundering causes a grayish tint.
4. Wash with other whites in warm water. Don’t overload the machine, since that can keep garments from rinsing thoroughly, and detergent residue can lead to yellowing.
5. If the jeans are still dingy after washing, soak them in warm water with a capful of color-safe bleach for 30 minutes.
WARM WEATHER LOOKS…
- SOOO MANY STYLES
- One of the best parts about the white jean trend is that it’s available and looks great in virtually every jean style.
- If you aren’t comfortable or unsure of how to wear skinny jeans,
- you can pick a pair with a bootcut opening. White jeans also look great in wide leg cuts;
- for this look, try a tucked-in blouse, skinny belt and some summer wedges.
ADD COLOR…
Because white jeans are literally lacking color, they look especially great when you can bring in pops of colors.
Whether it’s your top, shoes or even your clutch, bright colors are a great way to get that summer look.
White jeans also look especially great when paired with colored or gold accessories.
They’re a great way to bring attention to your outfit, even if you’ve chosen to pair your white jeans with light-colored tops
